PRIYYA DUTT
Higher Education Consultant & Career Coach
Driven by a passion for helping students, professionals, and institutions navigate academic transitions, career growth, and global opportunities, Priyya founded SchoolEd by Priyya to bridge the gap between education and employability.
She combines higher education consulting, cross-cultural coaching, and mentorship to empower learners to thrive in international and diverse environments. Through SchoolEd by Priyya, she aims to build meaningful collaborations with universities and education consultants globally.
Experience & Research
Priyya began her journey as an intern during her university days in 2015 and has since supported thousands of students worldwide through her work including being part of organisations such as ApplyBoard, Griffith University, and Masters’ Union. Across these roles, she has worked closely with students and institutions in areas of admissions strategy, application evaluation, and academic development.
Her expertise lies in career and professional development, spanning study abroad consulting, personal branding, and academic mentoring. She has worked across multiple education markets, including Australia, the UK, Canada, the USA, and Ireland.
She has also contributed to personal branding and content strategy for Mihir Mankad, former National TV Anchor and Professor of Practice at Harvard, Tufts, and ISB, known globally for The Art of Communication.
Currently, Priyya consults with NetExpat, Belgium, providing career development and intercultural coaching to expatriates relocating to India, with clients from organisations such as Google, Amazon, BMW, and the World Bank. As a Griffith University alumna, she is a part of their Industry Mentoring Program.
Since launching SchoolEd by Priyya, she has supported HEX Australia by evaluating student entrepreneurial pitches and serving as an Industry Mentor as part of their HEX High South Asia Intensive Program. As a PDEU alumna, she has also joined the Board of Studies (Dept. of Economics) at the School of Liberal Studies, PDEU Gujarat.
As part of her research, she co-developed a mentorship framework aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Transnational Education (TNE) under India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which she presented in September 2025 at the 4th International BRICS-RI Conference held at PDEU, Gujarat.
EDUCATION
Priyya holds a Liberal Arts degree [B.A. (Hons.)] in Economics and Finance from PDEU, India, and continues her professional development through courses at Harvard Extension School and Griffith University.
In 2020, she enrolled in the Master of Finance program at Griffith University, Australia, completing one term with High Distinction while also preparing for the CFA Level 1 exam. As part of Griffith Mates, she supported students with English as a Second Language through the Griffith English Language Institute (GELI).
Due to COVID-19 and Australia’s border restrictions, she had to discontinue the program, a transition that inspired her to focus on supporting students as a career path.
Having also participated in a summer exchange program at Sacred Heart University in the USA, Priyya brings a globally informed and empathetic perspective to her coaching practice.
INTERESTS & PASSIONS
Outside of work, Priyya enjoys reading, playing badminton, traveling, and practicing yoga. She has a background in the arts, having completed 2 years of Kathak (Indian classical dance) and 3 years of Indian Classical Vocal Music, and is currently learning guitar and practicing Russian (Здравствуйте, приятно с вами познакомиться!).
She is currently reading “Manage Yourself to Lead Others” by Margaret C. Andrews, her professor for the Fall ’25 semester, and highly recommends it. Priyya loves connecting with people across cultures and believes in the transformative power of education and mentorship to change lives globally.
